Most Houston homeowners don’t get to crawl into an attic in July or stand next to a condenser at 2 p.m. in August. They hire us on a handshake and a phone number, then hope the work holds up. We think you deserve better than hope. What follows is what our crews actually walk into, what we actually do, and how the space looks when we leave. Seeing the work beats another promise on a website.

Attic AC Replacement in The Heights: From Sweaty Mess to Sealed, Leveled, and Labeled
Before
AfterThe problem: a 14-year-old Goodman air handler in a 1920s bungalow attic, sitting cockeyed on two mismatched boards, sweating through rusted insulation, with a drain line that had been patched three times. The homeowner had been told by another company the whole attic needed re-ducting first. We disagreed. We removed the old unit, leveled the platform, sealed the supply plenum with mastic, installed a new Carrier air handler with a secondary drain pan and float switch, and replaced the refrigerant lines. The result: 22 degrees of temperature drop at the register, and an attic you could actually work in without a tetanus shot.
Condenser Swap in Katy: Clogged Coil, Tripping Breaker, and a Dog That Wouldn’t Go Outside
Before
AfterThe problem: a York condenser from 2009 that had been running with a cottonwood-packed coil for two summers. The compressor was pulling locked-rotor amps every morning, the breaker tripped twice a week, and the family’s Labrador had started refusing the backyard. Our tech spent 20 minutes brushing the old coil just to confirm what we already suspected: the fins were corroded, not just dirty. We replaced the condenser with a new Trane unit on a raised pad, flushed the line set, and verified the charge with a digital manifold. The dog’s back outside. The breaker hasn’t tripped since.
Furnace-to-Heat Pump Conversion in Pearland: No More Space Heaters in the Kids’ Rooms
Before
AfterThe problem: a gas furnace from 2005 that hadn’t been serviced in years, pushing weak heat through undersized flex duct to two north-facing kids’ bedrooms. The parents were running space heaters on extension cords, which we told them flat out was the part we wanted gone first. We pulled the furnace, installed a Daikin heat pump with an air handler in the garage, and added a return in the hallway. The kids’ rooms now hold 70 degrees on the same setting that used to give them 62. No extension cords anywhere in the house.
Drain Pan Emergency in Sugar Land: Ceiling Stain, Midnight Call, Fixed Before Breakfast

The problem: a homeowner in Sugar Land texted us photos at 11:40 p.m. of a brown water ring spreading across their dining room ceiling. The drain pan under a Rheem air handler had rusted through, and the condensate was dripping straight onto the drywall. We had a tech on site by 8 a.m. with a new pan, a float switch, a wet/dry vac, and drop cloths for the whole dining room table. Ceiling dried, pan replaced, switch wired so it kills the system if the line ever clogs again. The ceiling stain is now the only reminder, and we told them to keep the photo album.
Full Duct Replacement in Spring Branch: 70-Year-Old Ducts, One Afternoon of Dust Control

The problem: a Spring Branch ranch house with ducts from the Eisenhower administration, several runs collapsed, one return pulling air from the wall cavity instead of the hallway, and enough dust in the system to mulch a garden. The homeowners were coughing at night and blaming allergies. We sealed off the work area with plastic sheeting, laid drop cloths from the attic hatch to the front door, and replaced the entire trunk and branch system with R-8 insulated flex, sealed with mastic at every joint. Shoe covers on, HEPA filter running the whole time. Before we left, our tech took a photo of the clean hallway and texted it to the homeowner, because that’s part of the job here.
Garage Air Handler Replacement in Cypress: Hot Garage, Failing Unit, Done in a Day

The problem: a Bryant air handler in a Cypress garage, leaking from the coil cabinet, with a blower motor on its last bearing and a filter that required a screwdriver to access. The homeowner had skipped filter changes for two years because it was a pain. We replaced the whole unit with an American Standard air handler, added a spring-loaded filter door that opens with one hand, and raised the condensate line with proper slope. The C.A.R.E. values were on display the entire time: we asked before moving the workbench, covered the car with a drop cloth, and explained the written price before the first screw came out. Garage is now the coolest room to change a filter in.
