When you call Meadowsweet Heating and Air Houston, the person who shows up at your door isn’t a subcontractor we’ve never met. It’s someone from our own crew, someone whose work we stand behind with the 365-Day Done Right Promise. We’re part of the Cedarwell family of HVAC companies, founded in 2004, and the people who carry that name through Houston are the reason homeowners keep calling us back. Here’s who you’ll actually meet on a service call, and what each of them brings to the job.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Luis Serrano, Owner
Luis Serrano started at Meadowsweet with a tool bag and a simple rule: write down the price before you touch anything. He’s been the owner since the Houston location opened, and you’ll still find him on job sites, usually checking the company’s C.A.R.E. standards with his own eyes. Luis is the first to admit when a repair surprises him, because he’d rather tell a homeowner the truth than pitch a clean story. He’s a background in residential HVAC across the Gulf Coast climate, where humidity and salt air change how equipment needs to be sized and serviced. When he’s not on a roof or in an attic, he’s on the phone with the office, making sure every call from Houston gets a live person, no voicemail queue.
Marcus D., Lead Technician
Marcus has been turning wrenches with the Cedarwell family since 2011, and he’s the guy we send when a system has been misdiagnosed by another company and the homeowner is frustrated. He holds EPA 608 certification and specializes in heat pump diagnostics and variable-speed air handler repair. Marcus keeps his van stocked with shoe covers and drop cloths like they’re part of his uniform, because he’s seen what red clay and attic insulation do to a Houston living room floor. Outside work, he restores old bicycles and has a soft spot for homes with dogs, because he grew up with three.
Dana K., Senior Installer
Dana leads our AC installation crews and has been with Meadowsweet since 2015. She’s NATE-certified and handles full-system changeouts, duct modifications, and the cleanup inspection that happens before we hand a job back to the homeowner. Dana works with nine equipment brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard, so she’s comfortable matching a system to the actual layout of a Houston home, not just the square footage on paper. She’s also the reason our installs stay quiet during nap hours: she plans the noisy parts of the job around the family’s schedule, and she asks before moving anything on the floor.
Elena R., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice on the phone when you call at 6 a.m. on a Saturday or 11 p.m. on a Tuesday, because Meadowsweet answers every call with a live person, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She’s been with the Cedarwell family since 2009 and knows Houston’s neighborhoods well enough to dispatch a technician with a realistic arrival window, not a vague promise. Elena keeps the written pricing system organized, so the number you’re quoted on the phone matches the number on the written estimate the technician shows you at the door. She’s also the one who makes sure the photo of the cleanup gets sent before the crew pulls out of the driveway.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this page works from the same playbook, and it’s not a slogan. It’s the Cedarwell Care Promise, the system that’s been holding since 2004 and applies to every job we take in Houston. Before any work starts, you get a written price. Before we walk into your home, shoe covers go on and drop cloths go down, protecting your floors and keeping play areas and pet spaces clean. Inside, our crew follows the C.A.R.E. values code: clean up like it’s their own home, ask before moving anything, respect the family’s time and quiet hours, and explain the price before the work. When the job’s done, a photo of the cleanup is sent before the crew leaves, so you can see what we left behind. If any of it isn’t done right, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we come back and make it right. No runarounds, no fine print. That’s the standard Luis Serrano holds this Houston crew to, on every visit, every time.
